Can You Believe It??

Two titles in four years! Crazy. It took 86 years to get one and I've been to two parades in four years. And like last time, Boston might be able to follow this parade with another one in February (GO PATS!). I went to the parade yesterday, skipped some class (though I did make it back for my last class, I'm so responsible!). Amy came down from Portland, Maine and Jen came up from the North Shore. Sharleen and Travis hung out too. Oh, and Steve, haven't see him since high school, but it's good for us to meet again since he's sleeping over on Friday... oh, Jen.
The trophy is AMAZING, right? Even the bottom is fancy and says 2007 world champions. Ahhhhhhhh I love the Red Sox! We got all sorts of free signs and bumper stickers. We had so much fun.
So, I made a sign that said "Rookies of the Year," since our rookies were so freakin' awesome. Most importantly, that included Mr. Dustin Pedroia, the guy above, on the left. He will most likely, barring a catastrophe of epic proportions, be the actual Rookie of the Year. He totally saw my sign, pointed at it and me, smiled and waved. I was freaking out. I even turned to Travis, who was standing behind me (tall boys stood behind short girls, makes sense) and he totally saw it too, I did not make that up.
Okay, so Jon Lester is amazingly hot. Seriously. Amazingly hot in person. "Square head" or not, Jen Coleman, I love him. His duck boat stopped in front of us, we made eye contact, there was smiling, there was waving. Travis will also back this up. I REALLY freaked on this one. He makes me want to... well, you get the picture.
That's the six of us, the cool kids. Me, Amy, and Jen got there early, then Steve (on the top right) showed up about an hour later, Travis not far behind, and Sharleen lagging behind at around 11 (silly lady went to her first class). This was an awesome day. I had so much fun, spent quality time with quality people. Can't wait until birthday festivities on Friday when the extremely old Jen Coleman turns 23. Yay for this week. I needed this, last week and weekend totally sucked.

Pats/Colts on Sunday -- die Peyton Manning (not literally...)
TAR SUNDAY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Travis totally loves TAR, I'm liking this kid more and more each day, lol.

Boo Exhaustion

I am old. I came to this realization after the last week or two of staying up really late trying to do homework and watch baseball. I am very old. We won the World Series last night and I didn't want to go to run to Fenway because I was tired, and I didn't want to deal with a lot of drunk people.

I am so old, right? It's so sad.

I'm trying to wrangle my youth back from law school by skipping all day tomorrow to go to the parade, watch jon paplebon and josh beckett do a crazy jig and just be stupid and 22 again.

on a totally separate topic, i need a makeout buddy, it's getting annoying, i hang out with too many girls... haha, no ideas, people, a.k.a. micah, the only person who reads this!

TAR STARTS SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHH! Red Sox!!!!

Two things about last nights game:
1. Shit, way to scare me guys, seriously, don't do that.
2. I got to experience color blindness for a few hours... awesome.

To elaborate on the second part, we watched the game at GameON at Fenway. It was decent, though their waitresses suck. But the TV that was facing me and the easiest way for me to watch the game was all wonky when it came to contrast. It was so annoying. There was no red, orange or green in the TV. It was quite disturbing. The reds all looked grayish brown, the purple for the Rockies was just blue, the greens looked yellow (to the point that there was no color difference between the field and the infield dirt). People looked seriously jondis. I had always wondered what life looked like to color blind people. Now I know. Thank you, sports bar, for having seriously screwed up contrast on your TV for Game 3 of the World Series and waitresses who didn't give a shit to tell you after my table complained.

WE COULD WIN TONIGHT!!!! OMG OMG OMG

Random hilarious photo of Kevin Youkilis from high school. If I went to school with this kid... let's just say, we wouldn't have been friends, lol.

If you want to get inside my head just a little bit, this picture is my wallpaper, in tile format, haha, LOVE IT.

the sox photos are courtesy of bostondirtdogs.com and the tommy photo i stole of perezhilton, and he'll get over it cuz he steals photos all the time too...

Eh-em

Okay, so it looks like I'm not going to be able to keep doing this, because it's getting ridiculous, the 5th inning is not even over yet and they've walked in three straight runs and now it's 13-1. I can't keep updating every time they score, so barring catastrophe, let's assume the Red Sox win this one...

EEEEEEE!!!!!

that picture courtesy of boston.com, both pictures being from the game going on RIGHT now!

My bad...

now it's 1o-1

it's a good night!

Go Red Sox!!

So it's game 1 of the World Series and it's the 5th inning and we're winning 9-1.

WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Oh, and here's a quote from an ESPN guy who picked us to win:

"At this stage in the game, the Boston Red Sox are no longer a baseball team. They are the killer in a horror flick, 25 guys wearing hockey masks who seem to return very much alive -- especially at the very moment when you are convinced they are dead, relieved that the danger has passed."

oh, classic.... i do love my boys...

p.s. that picture is totally stolen from espn.com!

I Need More Hours in A Day

So my dilemma is whether to do a long update or to do homework. I've met me. Guess what I'm doing.

So, school is in full swing, and I still have no idea what is supposed to be going on. I'm keeping up with the readings and I feel like I'm getting a vast majority of the information, so that's good. I'm getting pretty good feedback, but the first real measuring stick is Monday. I have a practice exam where I'll get feedback. So, as much as I do
not want to do it, it's going to be very helpful.

I joined Phi Alpha Delta, the law school fraternity and I'm already the Vice Justice (not that big of a deal, I ran unopposed). I'm excited to really get involved, because as it is I have very little free time, it will be fun to see how I manage this!

I've been doing softball and soccer, it's a lot of fun and I'm meeting upper levels and exercising. I really am enjoying that. We have a big tournament this weekend, called Battle of the Bostons or something like that where we're competing against the other Boston law schools. Go NEU! haha.

So, what has been happened recently? Sept 30 I went to the last Red Sox game... they lost. It was the last game of the season and everyhting was clinched, but we got to give standing ovations to our boys and potentially
(hopefully not) say bye to Mike Lowell (we better resign him!). Oct 5, I went to Foxwoods for Abbott's birthday. I was just getting over being sick, but I had a lot of fun and I won $11 in the slot machines (i'm not a gambler). Jen Coleman accompanied me on the trip to Foxwoods and we wandered, watched Manny walk off in game 2 of the ALDS and then we passed out in the hotel room. Good times though. The next weekend, the 12, Sharleen, Phoebe and I went on a roadtrip to Syracuse. So much fun. There was some drama cuz ppl (Sharleen) was being kind of annoying but what can you do? I got to see Newhouse III, which was beautiful and I got to walk around campus, go to a football game... Phoebe and I bought student tickets and swiped our IDs and waltzed right down to the student section, alumni t-shirts and all. We felt like such cougars/badasses, haha. We even went up 14-0. Of course, we're horrendous, so we ended up losing big time, but we left before it got that bad!

I also got to chill
with the euclid ladies, Maggie, Abbott (two weeks in a row!), Woods, TMoore, Jane, and Emily. We did some dorm drinking and then some bars. I was really excited because Faegan's put my Pomegranite Wheat on tap. Yay. I even had some Tully's tenders on Sunday and saw some football with John.

All in all, a good weekend, and I brought home some good beer that Mass doesn't seem to like to sell.
So we got home Sunday night, I watched the AMAZING Pats game against Dallas that I had tivoed and then Monday, straight after school met up with Amy and Jen for the Maroon 5 concert. Amy came down from Portland and I was so excited because I hadn't seen her since August, if not July...

We got dinner at Matthew's place, McGanns, which ended up being pretty cheap due to my awesome connection, haha
. The concert was incredible. Adam Levine is too skinny for me, but he can still get me... wow, he was hot. I haven't listened to their stuff in while because I don't even have time to listen to music, but I got right back in the swing of things and I remember why I love them, dirty looks from my family or not...

Upcoming dates:

Oct 20 - Softball tourney

Oct 21 - Head of the Charles Regatta with family

Oct 23 - Kelly Clarkson with Sharleen

Nov 2 - Jen birthday and Jake Ivory's

I don't know when I'm going to get to work in sleep, so I don't know if I'll be able to update again soon. It's crazy, and October has been ridiculous. I need Thanksgiving to be, um, now.

Way too busy...

I have not updated much lately. I know. I suck at life.

I'm trying to keep up with work and to keep up with life and to keep up with TV, which is way too important to me, haha.

I've been going crazy with work and I've been visiting friends, going to red sox games and going to Syracuse. wahoo.

Pictures and more updates to come in the next few days, promise!
