Oh, Irony

I find it ironic (hence the post title) that there's a commercial on TV for Botox Cosmetics using the song "Express Yourself" when using Botox paralyzes your face so you cannot show emotions...

Finally Explaining My Endorsement of an Obama/Edwards Ticket

A senator was once quoted about signing a war authorization paper as saying, "there was no excuse, we all can read."

-- That's not a direct quote, I don't have it actually in front of me, but that's the gist. Basically, what's being said, was yes, this war is a disaster and we shouldn't have allowed it and for Congress to claim it didn't know what it was signing is inexcusable.

Guess what. That senator wasn't talking about Iraq -- Vietnman.

I know this isn't new, the parallels have been drawn a billion times.

I bring this up now because someone is trying to be president based on the "i didn't know what I was signing" excuse. *cough* hillary *cough*

Haha, that picture makes me laugh... anywho, back to my rant...

Ok, so people ask me why I dislike (hate) hillary so much, so here goes.

I hate that because I'm a woman I'm suppose to like her. If you hate her, you're sexist supposedly, but I think it's just as sexist to say you should like her because she's a woman and she could be the first woman president.
-- For the record, I've dreamed about the first woman president since I was a little girl, and if it turns out to be Hillary, I will be so, so disappointed. I always thought electing a woman would be this new wave, because a woman would be able to rise above all the male political bullshit, but she's worse than most...

The main reason I hate her however, is the war excuse. She does this all the time! She votes with the wave of public opinion, and not before that opinion is made abundantly clear. Some may say that's a sign of political savvyness, but I think it's cowardice.

And on the "I didn't know I was authorizing war" BULLSHIT. I've read the Iraq authorization. It's abundantly clear what was going to happen by signing that. While it does authorize Bush to use diplomacy, it point-blank authorizes the use of military force. And, P.S., the president doesn't need Congress' permission to use diplomacy. That authorization is for war, without using the actual word.

So, unless she uses the same excuse on a two-page document that a Senator said was unacceptable 40 years ago about the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, then she's full of crap.

As a result, she's either a liar, or incompetent. Either way, I want nothing to do with her.
