My Life Among the Brand Names: July 2008

The Republicans keep focusing on victory when they talk about the war. About if we go with the Democrats, we'll have a loss, a failure.

But you know what? It's not about winning and losing! War is not a game! I don't want a leader who is more concerned about winning than doing the right thing.

That's why I could never vote for a Republican because their priorities are so screwed up.

And I'm afraid that's exactly what this is all about. It's a black hole we'll never get out of if we keep voting in the Republicans. McCain said he'd stay in this war indefinitely, and you know why? Because he wants to win.
